Ludi ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Ludi mobile application and our website (Ludi.social).
1. Information We Collect and How We Partner
Account Data: To create an account, you provide an email address, username, profile picture, and profile bio/banner.
Secure Authentication (Clerk): We utilize Clerk for secure user authentication. Ludi does not view, collect, or store your account passwords; all credentials are managed securely by Clerk.
User-Generated Content: We collect your game ratings, written reviews, uploaded images, gameplay hours logged, and session histories to power the platform's core features.
Third-Party Connected Account Data: If you opt into our Platform Sync feature, you authorize Ludi to securely interface with third-party gaming marketplaces (including Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, or Epic Games) to import your game libraries, playtime, and achievement records.
Performance & Analytics Data (Convex & Sentry): We store application data securely via Convex. We also utilize Sentry to collect technical logs, crash reports, and device identifiers to maintain app stability.
2. How We Use Your Information
Core App Functionality: To generate your personalized "best-to-worst" preference hierarchy, power our A vs. B Comparative Ranking system, and calculate community metrics like the Friend Score.
Algorithmic Personalization: To curate and rank content in your "For You" discovery feed based on your preferred genres, recent activity, and previous review data.
Annual Summaries: To generate aggregated features like your year-end Ludi "Wrapped" recap.
3. Data Sharing, Advertising, and Analytics
Public Activity: Your public profile, followers list, public reviews, game ratings, and recent activity log are visible to other users on the platform.
Contextual Advertisements: We may display contextually relevant gaming advertisements within your activity feed based on broad platform preferences (such as your favorite game genres). We do not share your personal, identifiable data with third-party advertisers.
Aggregated Data: We may use anonymized, aggregated platform usage trends (e.g., overall community game rankings) for statistical analysis and operational growth. This data contains absolutely no personally identifiable information.
4. Your Rights and Data Deletion
Account Management: You can update your personal information via the "Edit Profile" controls at any time.
Right to Deletion: You can permanently delete your account at any time through your in-app settings. Upon deletion, your personal profile data (email, bio, banner, profile picture) and standard social posts will be permanently deleted from our active databases. To maintain the mathematical integrity of our community game rankings, your historical game reviews and star ratings will remain on the platform but will be completely anonymized, with all links to your identity permanently erased.
